If you ask Mary Langford to articulate her most valued personal attribute, she is likely to say, “good listener.” Add to that resourcefulness, fearlessness, creative thinking and a sense of humor, and you come up with a winning formula for a talent manager.
A natural collaborator, Mary’s career has included years as the personal assistant and scribe for some of the most established names in the entertainment industry. She worked at the right hand of New York Times bestselling author and Emmy-winning producer, Sidney Sheldon. Traveling between his homes in Bel Air and Palm Springs, CA, she worked closely with him on his memoirs and other projects. She later worked in a similar role for world-famous hairstylist and entrepreneur, Vidal Sassoon, as he wrote his autobiography.
A trained actress and comedienne, Mary understands the nuances that make an artist successful in a performance. As an account manager at The Celebrity Source, a celebrity booking agency, Mary worked directly under its Founder, Rita Tateel, personally booking top talent including Barbara Eden, Beth Grant and Anthony Hopkins.
Mary has long lent her skills to assist fellow actors and comedians with their talent marketing needs. Turning this avocation to a vocation was a natural choice, and led to the launch of Mallory Talent Management.
